Carlos Correa has agreed on a 12-year, $315 million contract with the New York Mets. This is despite him having already agreed to terms with the San Francisco Giants on a 13-year $350 million contract. His deal with the Giants was scheduled to be announced in a news conference on Dec. 20. But the Giants announced that morning that it had been postponed. It was reported that an undisclosed medical concern arose during his physical examination. However, people throughout the industry expected the deal to go through before the Mets swooped in. With Correa's deal, the Mets have now committed more than $800 million to free agents this offseason.
