  • last year
A formerly drought-stricken lake in regional NSW has been proposed as the site for a pumped hydro project capable of powering 40,000 homes with renewable energy. The proposal was unveiled this week for the phoenix pumped hydro project, which would be capable of supplying 810 megawatts to homes in the central west. The project is in the planning stages, and it has been compared to the snowy hydro mountains scheme.
