Franco-US SWOT satellite lifts off to survey Earth's water

Nasa launches a satellite to survey Earth's surface water as part of the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission. This Franco-US satellite will be on a mission to survey with unprecedented accuracy nearly all water on Earth's surface for the first time and help scientists investigate its impact on Earth's climate.
