The Sunderland Story will run at the Sunderland Empire from Wednesday, May 17 – Saturday, May 27, 2023
A statement from the Empire said: “Told through music, comedy and emotion, The Sunderland Story will take audiences on a trip down memory lane up to the modern day, telling the epic tale of Sunderland AFC’s history from the first trophy win to the team’s legendary managers and scorers including Watson, Stokoe, Reid, Cochrane, Campbell, and Gurney and celebrates one of the biggest moments in SAFC’s history 50 years ago - that glorious 1973 FA Cup and the epic celebrations after the 2022 play-offs"
