Honda Civic Sport Hybrid 2023 - Exterior and Interior Details

The Honda Civic is known for being a versatile hatchback, and the 11th generation continues this tradition by offering more room and functionality than before. The 35mm longer wheelbase has enabled designers to increase dynamic performance and straight-line stability while also constructing a larger, more pleasant cabin. For the first time in Civic history, the tailgate is now made of resin. It is 20% lighter than the previous Civic thanks to the use of innovative manufacturing techniques, making it simpler to open and close. The supporting hinges have also been shifted outward, resulting in a cleaner roofline and adding to the new, more streamlined rear appearance.

Once inside the Civic, the horizontal dashboard design highlights the width of the interior, which when paired with a broader field of vision creates a feeling of space that is genuinely open and breezy. New tactile, high-quality materials are used throughout the interior, and the dashboard's air vent design features a stunning metal honeycomb pattern. For better visibility, the drivers' display on Advance grade now has a 10.2-inch HD color LCD monitor.

The new Civic comes with an easy-to-use infotainment system. To reduce up-and-down eye movement, the center touchscreen has been elevated and expanded in size to nine inches. To keep passengers connected while driving, the system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Elegance and Sport grades each have eight speakers, while the Advance grade has 12 premium BOSE speakers for a concert-like audio experience, significantly enhancing the occupant experience.

A new 72-cell lithium-ion battery, two small but strong electric motors, and a newly developed 2.0-liter direct-injection, Atkinson-cycle engine are all part of Honda's tried-and-true e:HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) powertrain technology that comes as standard in the Civic. The powertrain's combined maximum motor output and torque are 135kW and 315Nm, respectively. In order to attain a thermal efficiency of 41%, one of the highest values in the automotive industry for a production road car, the most recent internal combustion engine includes a number of innovative components included into its architecture.

The all-new Civic's main drive force is provided by two strong electric motors working together. A new, compact Power Control unit, which now lies under the bonnet with the rest of the powertrain, controls the engine. The newest iteration of our Intelligent Power Unit, which is located underneath the back seats, is lighter and smaller but has a higher energy density. This technology provides the impression of immediate torque and strong acceleration while maintaining exceptional efficiency.
