These Kinds Of Twists (Spoken Word)

i am that sort of person,
inexhaustible motivation,
&
i am that sort of person,
that's an interesting quotation,

like,
always second guess someone,
who knows how to think twice,
&
God can cut any problem down,
by exactly half it's size,

but,
this is that sort of place,
that loves a quote if it ain't yours,
&
if they don't recognize your brand,
most are quick to slam the door,

this when,
i am that sort of person,
i've opened presents that "don't exist",
&
i am that sort of person,
i notice things that others miss,

treated as though the poetry i write,
could attract the devil,
like a tutorial for the soul,
to be learned of by a rebel,

sometimes good luck looks devious,
and bad luck looks suspect,
inconveniences are rife,
right next to karma's disrespect,

for me it was like,
"i ain't like that" was a phase
&
the low level of surprise,
still hurts my head & heart today,

where,
God can't halve our problems,
even though we make his list,
surely it's a demons tale,
that has these kinds of twists,
