On November 28, the Uttar Pradesh government appointed new Police Commissioners for the three newly-formed commissionerates. The UP government also transferred the Police Commissioners of Noida and Varanasi. State government has appointed Inspector-General of Police (IG), Lucknow range, Laxmi Singh as the first woman Police Commissioner of the state. Laxmi Singh has been given the charge of Noida. She will replace Alok Singh, who has been posted to the Director General of Police (DGP) headquarters in Lucknow. Watch the video to know more.
