Neymar was left in tears after limping out of Brazil's 2-nil win over Serbia in their World Cup opener on Thursday evening. The PSG forward went down in the 79th minute after a hard tackle on his right ankle by Serbia's Nikola Milenkovic which forced him out and was replaced by Antony. With his ankle already swollen, Neymar was treated with ice packs on the bench where he was seen in tears raising questions about the severity of his injury. The 30-year-old then limped off the dugout after the full-time whistle, before being seen still limping as he left the stadium. Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar confirmed the injury but insisted that it was too early to judge the extent of the lesion. "Neymar has an injury on his right ankle, direct trauma. But we need 24 to 48 hours for a better assessment," explained Lasmar. Before his exit from the pitch, Neymar was fouled 9 times, 4 more than any other player in the tournament so far.
