FIFA World Cup sponsor Budweiser has confirmed it will gift the winning team all the beer it is unable to sell at the tournament. The announcement comes after alcohol sales were banned at World Cup venues two days before the event began. "We will host the ultimate championship celebration for the winning country. Because, for the winning fans, they’ve taken the world. More details will be shared when we get closer to the final," said an Anheuser-Busch InBev spokesperson. The total value of the beer is estimated to be worth €70 million. Budweiser is expected to sue FIFA for a breach of contract over the situation. AB InBev, who owns Budweiser, paid €72 million in order to sponsor the tournament and have their beer at the center of it.
