Dangerous Snowstorm , Hits Buffalo, Western NY.
AP reports that NY Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency for 11 counties in western New York on Nov. 17.
A nonemergency
vehicle driving ban
was put in place.
By the morning of Nov. 18, the
lake-effect snowstorm already dropped
over a foot of snow in some places.
The driving ban has since been downgraded to an advisory in Buffalo but remains in effect in other areas of the county. .
According to the National Weather Service,
up to 4 feet of snow could accumulate
in Buffalo through Nov. 20.

are closed for the time being.
