November 19, 2022 marks the 105th birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi. Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917. Indira Gandhi was the daughter of India’s first prime minister Dr Jawahar Lal Nehru. Indira Gandhi, till date, has been the only female Prime Minister of the country. She was known as the ‘Iron lady’ of India. Gandhi served two terms as the Prime Minister from 1966 to 1977 and 1981 to 1984. She was assassinated by her own security guards.
