A ferry caught fire with passengers onboard today off the coast of Bali, Indonesia.The vessel named Mutiara Timur I caught fire in Gili Selang waters in Karangasem Regency on Wednesday afternoon November 16.Passengers in life jackets gathered on the deck while rescue boats battled to evacuate them. Widodo, Head of the Sailing Safety Section at the Tanjungwangi Port Authority and Harbormaster Office, said: 'The ship was carrying passengers from Tanjungwangi Port in Banyuwangi, East Java Province to Tanjungmas Port in Lombok Province. 'Officers are currently evacuating passengers.'It is not yet known detailed information regarding the cause of the fire on the ship. Officers also could not confirm whether there were victims.
