  • last year
Supreme Court ordered the release of the 6 convicts arrested over former PM Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination on November 11. The convicts were arrested over the 1991 assassination case of the former PM. The convicts have been released by the SC over ‘satisfactory behaviour’. The convicts will be released after a long span of more than 30 years. Soon after the SC’s order, supporters of Nalini Sriharan, one of the convicts, celebrated near her residence. The Congress party at a press conference also expressed their disagreement over the release order.
