Kerala: Paddy farmers in trouble ahead of paddy sowing season in Kottayam

Paddy farmers in Kottayam, Kerala are facing trouble as water due to high tide in sea entered their fields. Because of this, paddy farmers are unable to start their paddy farming season known as “Puncha Krishi” in state.

Farmers started the cleaning of paddy field one month ago to remove water plants and waste. Farmers have spent above 2 lakh rupees for this cleaning and preparing work.
