Apple Is Reportedly Simplifying , How Users Interact With Siri.
According to 'Bloomberg,' Apple is training its digital assistant to answer to just "Siri" instead of "Hey Siri.".
While the change may seem minor, 'Bloomberg'
writer Mark Gurman says it requires a “significant amount
of AI training and underlying engineering work.” .
Engadget reports that the update would also allow multiple commands to be strung together more easily. .
Amazon's competing digital assistant is already capable of responding to just "Alexa.".
While Google's still operates off of a two-word trigger phrase like "Hey Google" or "OK Google," .
it is competent at comprehending back-to-back commands.
Gurman says Apple also intends to further integrate Siri with third-party apps and services.
While these changes will likely take a significant amount of time to roll out.
