Medical team called in to save baby after traumatic birth

A team of Neonatal care givers got an unusual emergency call last month from Mogo wildlife park on the New South Wales south coast. A new-born gorilla which had developed sepsis pneumonia needed urgent treatment. The birth went perfectly, until the mother didn't pass her placenta at which point the father stepped in zoo-keeper Chad Staples explains.
