Mars Offers Solution for , How to Recycle , Halloween Candy Wrappers.
As you plan for Halloween parties and trick-or-treating, .
you may be wondering how best to deal with excess candy wrappers that Halloween celebrations inevitably produce.
600 million pounds of candy are purchased every Halloween.
All of those wrappers usually end up in landfills.
To combat this, Mars Wrigley and Rubicon Technologies have designed recyclable trick-or-treat bags.
The bags come with prepaid postage and three simple instructions.
1, Use the bag to collect your candy.
2, Put the wrappers from your
eaten candy back into the bag.
3, When your candy is all gone,
seal the bag and drop it in the mail.
The bag is then sent to a proper recycling center.
Mars and Rubicon executives say the initiative is an expression of the companies' commitment to a healthy planet. .
