Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says "difficult decisions" will have to be made in order to fix the nation’s finances, but promises to “'protect the most vulnerable” and to “always do it with fairness at the heart”. Speaking during a visit to a hospital in south London, he says: "I acknowledge that mistakes have been made and part of why I'm now Prime Minister is it’s my job to fix them - and I'm confident that we can.” Report by Patelr.
