Chhath Puja is a Hindu festival dedicated to the God of Sun and lasts for four days. It is celebrated by women mostly in Nepal and the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. During this festival, women observe a 36-hour strict fast for their children and families. The first day of the festival is Nahay Khay, which will be celebrated on October 28 this year.
