RSPCA reports 25% increase in pets being abandoned as people struggle with cost of living
  • 2 years ago
The RSPCA has said the number of abandoned pets in England and Wales has gone up by 25% compared to the previous year.

The charity said Covid and cost of living fears means fewer people are considering taking on an animal, with the number of rehired pets down by 10% year on year.

The RSPCA is now looking for people to consider fostering a pet for a short period to help with the increased demand on rescue centres.
