Exhilarating POV footage shows the moment a daredevil base jumper leapt from a 876-foot (267m) high bridge into a gorge. Johnni DiJulius, a professional base jumper, documented the daring stunt with a GoPro camera at a one-day parachuting festival in West Virginia, USA. Johnni, 30, from Cleveland, Ohio, took to the platform at this year's Bridge Day event at The New River Gorge Bridge, in Fayetteville. His 360 degree action camera shows him leaping towards the New River below, initially capturing his point of view. The camera then turns around capturing his reaction after he opens his parachute and the bridge and spectators he left behind. The experienced daredevil has 600 skydives and 175 base jumps under his belt. The video went viral on the social media platform TikTok garnering 18.5 million views with many reacting to the anxiety-inducing footage. The annual event saw around 800 jumps from the bridge, according to the Bridge Day Committee and it's estimated 100,000 people made their way to the high-octane festival after it was postponed for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
