There's a difference between wanting to make friends and actually making the effort to do so... a difference that is highlighted in this video.

"Rocky (Aussie Shepherd) wanted to play with his cousins (my sister and brother-in-law’s dogs) but there was a new friend over, a Belgian Malinois puppy named Groot," Molleigh said. "Rocky was so terrified of him that his cousin, Trigger crept over to check on Rocky. All Groot wanted was to play."
