Hijab Ban: Split Verdict By The Supreme Court On Pleas Challenging Karnataka HC’s Order

On October 13, petitions challenging the Karnataka hijab ban led to a split verdict in the Supreme Court. Justice Hemant Gupta dismissed the petitions against the hijab ban. Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia allowed the petitions. Justice Gupta said he agrees with the Karnataka High Court's order. Karnataka High Court had refused to lift the ban on hijab in schools and colleges.
