Claims that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will be 'bound' by political directives if it is placed under the Parliament is merely a perception, says Special Cabinet Committee on Corruption chairman Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim.

He told reporters after delivering his opening speech at the Malaysian Parliament Symposium Conference: MACC Joint Senators' Anti-Corruption Forum, in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Oct 6).
