विजयादशमी यानी दशहरा के दिन नीलकंठ पक्षी के दर्शन करन बेहद शुभ माना जाता है। धार्मिक मान्यताएं कहती हैं कि यदि दशहरा के दिन किसी को नीलकंठ पक्षी दिख जाए तो घर में धन-धान्य की कोई कमी नहीं रहती है और परिवार में शुभ कार्य होते हैं। मनुष्य पाप के बंधन से मुक्त हो जाता है।
