Greater Manchester’s new National Nature Reserve declared in Wigan and Leigh

A new National Nature Reserve has been declared in the Wigan and Leigh areas of Greater Manchester, spanning 738 hectares of land that used to be an industrial coal mining site. We went down to speak to the people involved in protecting the landscape and wildlife of this area.
