Twitch announced on Tuesday that it will crack down on all unlicensed slot, roulette, and dice games. The move comes following a threat of a “Twitch blackout” in which a number of prominent streamers threatened to boycott the platform for one week over Christmas to protest the platform’s promotion of addictive gambling behavior.
