Young fan escapes clutches of security guards to have touching moment with Cristiano Ronaldo as they share hug before Manchester United star signs his shirt.

The fan escaped from the claws of the security guards and hugged Ronaldo as he left the hotel in Moldavia to get on the team's bus.

The Portuguese star asked to get a pen before bringing the child to the bus to sign his United shirt.

Ronaldo later signed the back of T -shirt number 7 of the child and hugged him again before boarding the bus.

Fans have resorted to social networks to praise the 37 -year -old man. One tweeted: My goat is special and treats people.

Another fan said: 'What a man!', While another commented: 'Lieterrally the best day of his life'.

"That child would grow by boasting with his friends until the day he is old, haha," said another supporter.

Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot after Jadon Sancho's first goal in the 17th minute.

Erik Ten Hag admitted after the game that Ronaldo "needed the goal." Speaking to Mutv, he said: 'Ronaldo needed that goal. He many times was close [so far this season], but he wanted it so much.

We are happy for him, and the team wanted to bring him a goal. He knows that Cristiano will mark a penalty.
