The establishment of the state in the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came into effect on 23 September 1932. Before that, it used to be called Kingdom of Al-Hijaz and Najd and its annexes. The first Saudi passport issued 96 years ago in Saudi Arabia is being discussed on social media now a days. This passport was issued for Amir Faisal bin Abdul Aziz. A copy of the first Saudi passport is preserved on record at the King Faisal Research and Islamic Studies Center. The first Saudi passport was issued on 4 September 1926 according to 27 Safar 1345 AH. Amir Faisal bin Abdul Aziz was the viceroy of Hijaz at that time. This passport was issued by the Kingdom of Hijaz and Sultanate of Najd and its annexes from Makkah. As per passport, He was allowed to travel to Egypt, Holland, England and France. The photograph released by the King Faisal and Research Islamic Studies Center shows the passport number 7113. The name of the passport holder is in Arabic and English. The expiry date of the passport is listed as 3 September 1927. The passport contains the identity, year of birth, place, height, hair color, eye color, face color and signature of Emir Faisal bin Abdulaziz.
