On September 19, United States President Joe Biden joined other world leaders for Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral at London's Westminster Abbey.

on display to pay tribute to Britain's monarch
whose reign spanned seven decades.

Among the 2,000 attendees were
world leaders, dignitaries, politicians,
public figures and European royals. .
According to CNN, following the state funeral,
the queen's coffin will be conveyed to Wellington
Arch before making its final journey to Windsor.
The queen will be laid to rest at St. George's Chapel,
within the grounds of Windsor Castle, where her
coffin will be set in the Royal Vault below the chapel.
The ceremonial events are the result
of nearly two weeks of public arrangements,
codenamed 'Operation London Bridge.'.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said of the scale of the operation, , “If you think about the London Marathon, the carnival, previous royal weddings, the Olympics – it’s all that in one.”.
While in London, the President and first lady Jill Biden
paid their respects to the Queen, signed condolence
books and attended a reception with other leaders.
Later this week, world leaders are
scheduled to meet for the United Nations
General Assembly in New York. .
