Viral video of family 'stepping in sewage on beach' debunked as 'natural sea algal'

A woman who took her three children to a beach in Huttoft, Lincolnshire said her family became ill after running through suspected raw sewage on the sand. Her video of the incident was widely shared on TikTok.However, Anglian Water later confirmed that, after an inspection, no sewage was found in the water or on the beach, and that the 'brown' in the sand was sea algal, a natural phenomenon unrelated to sewage.
