Admit fault in Bukit Cerakah issue, Selangor MB tells Khir Toyo

Former Selangor menteri besar Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo was told to take responsibility for the Bukit Cerakah forest reserve degazettement controversy.

Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said his predecessor, who led the BN state government from 2000 to 2008, should not pass the buck to Pakatan Harapan.

“He (Khir) has to look at himself in the mirror when he hurled the accusation.

“The agreement (to degazette part of the Bukit Cerakah forest reserve) exposed the state government to a lawsuit where millions will be spent on the land acquisition in 2008.

“So, he cannot just pass the buck… He has to be a responsible (former) menteri besar,” said Amirudin.
