Scottish Parliament observes silence for Queen Elizabeth II

The King and Queen Consort joined MSPs in observing two minutes’ silence in the Scottish Parliament. Their Majesties were received in the Queensberry House courtyard by Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone. The King then met leaders of Scotland's main political parties, including First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. Tributes were paid to Queen Elizabeth in the debating chamber as part of a motion of condolence. Report by Jonesia.
