The coffin of Queen Elizabeth arrived in Edinburgh on September 11, 2022,  from Balmoral Castle in northeastern Scotland, where she died aged 96 on September 8. Her body will be taken to St Giles' Cathedral in the Scottish capital where it will remain for 24 hours allowing people to pay their respects before it is taken to London for a state funeral on September 19.
