Harlem: Voices, Faces (1973) Part 1

Two Swedish filmmakers travel to the Manhattan borough of Harlem where many young African-Americas grow up without parents and live in poorly maintained apartment buildings. Children go to school, but must resist the strong temptation of the dangers of the street including liquor, drugs, and violence. Residents are interviewed throughout speaking in their own voices about their situation.
