and Rory Mcllroy will begin headlining
a new Monday night golf competition.

CNN reports that the TGL has been formed
in partnership with the PGA Tour and is
meant to draw a younger audience to golf.

six teams of three PGA Tour players
competing in custom-built arenas.
According to a press release, players will tee off on a virtual screen before moving on to a "state-of-the-art
short game complex" built into the center of the stadium.
The competition's first season will feature
a 15-match schedule followed by a playoff
series and a championship match.
The high-tech concept will be
televised live on Monday nights.
