US man rescues a bunny from drowning in his pool

A man rescued a dying bunny that was drowning in his pool after spotting a strange reflection out of the corner of his eye. The Grand Canyon state resident found the rabbit while walking back inside from his backyard. He caught the bunny just as it stopped moving and began putting its head underwater - showing him it was clearly exhausted and struggling. The 35-year-old's first instinct was to get it out, so he frantically scrambled to find his poor scooper and get the bunny to safety. Once the animal was on dry land the man, who makes YouTube videos for a channel called ‘URMAKER’, grabbed his camera and began filming the situation. Initially the bunny was too tired and far too weak to even move - occasionally it would try to raise its head but even that was too strenuous. The content creator from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, moved the rabbit into the sunlight and fed it vegetables. He sat with the animal for several house in the hope it would begin to warm up and get some strength. He said: “I sat the entire time - for several hours - so no predators could get it whilst it was still vulnerable. “I didn't even touch it with my hands. The closest we got was when it sat in between my feet for a while. “Slowly, it started moving more and then it eventually just hopped away. The bunny ended up ok. I did consider it but, in the end, it didn’t need any medical help.” The man said that days later he saw it again and absolutely knew it recognised him. The bunny stopped, hopped really close to him and looked at him for a while before hopping off - which he sees as a sign that the animal knew just who he was and was very grateful. This video was filmed on April 5th 2020.
