United fans go wild after Anthony Martial gestures to a ball boy to 'slow down and waste time' during win over Liverpool, as he gets them back on side with his 'savvy' tactics on Monday.

A video circulating on social media shows the Frenchman trying to run out time by gesturing for the youngster to hold the ball after he had won a corner for United in added time at Old Trafford.

Beating Liverpool 2-1 in the dying embers, United needed to see the last 90 seconds to secure victory, in which Martial used every trick in the book to secure Erik ten Hag's first points as Premier League manager.

United would go on to win the game, overtaking Liverpool in the table, in which fans took to social media to praise the striker for playing his part in the victory.

The moment also saw Martial bring back some United fans, given that he had fallen out of favor with previous managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

One fan tweeted: 'Tony was like taking his time. I love this foral gentleman.

Another praised Martial for the tactic, saying: 'The freezing weather was wasta.'

They tweeted: 'It just shows how much the team has grown and gotten a bit smarter. He did this right in front of us, and as he walked to the corner, someone next to us said, "He's not messing around, this is how he normally runs!"
