India's first indigenous aircraft carrier slated for commissioning

India will soon commission into service its first indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. The 262-metre (860-foot) long vessel will be able to carry about 30 aircraft. It will also be equipped with 64 surface-to-air missiles with a reported strike range of 1,500km (930 miles).
