The traditional wooden Malay house that stood defiant alongside modern buildings and skyscrapers, appeared to have ‘stubbornly’ survived the test of time, spurring filmmaker Fatulrahman Ghazali to make a documentary about it and later become part of the team that saved the house from demolition.
