Under The Bridge: The 1984 Foyle Bridge in Derry

The Foyle Bridge in Derry - one of the tallest in Ireland - as seen from Bay Road Park Nature Reserve.
Built in 1984 the bridge was the longest in Ireland and remained so until recently when its 866 metre (2839 ft) span was surpassed only recently when the2022 Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge across River Barrow between Wexford and Kilkenny opened with a span of 887m.
