Law Minister: No more 'stacks of cash' after political financing law

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said there will be more transparency once a new law to regulate political contributions is in place.
“There will be no more stacks of cash in the cellars or tunnels once we have the law on political funding,” he told reporters yesterday, according to The Star.
Wan Junaidi said the government is looking to table the new bill when the Dewan Rakyat convenes in October and aims to pass the bill within three weeks.
