The Charade - album The Charade 1969

The Charade were an Australian folk-pop-rock trio from Sydney active from late 60s to early 70s. The group had this one album and one single from the same album released both in 1969. The Charade's sound was very similar to P, P & M, The Seekers, The Pozo Seco Singer and the Mamas & Papas. Lots of acoustic guitars and fine harmony vocals. After the release of the album, singer Siobahn Shepperd was replaced by 17 year old Linda Keene. The trio became the resident folk group on the Australian popular television show Bandstand, they also won Vocal Group contest of the year award in 1971.
