The film shot entirely in Theni, Bodi and surrounding areas, is said to have dealt with a real-life incident that took place in the region.

Debutant Azhagan Selva, a former associate of director Yaar Kannan, has directed the film and a newcomer Udhay plays the lead role apart from co-producing the film.

Malayalam actor Malavika Wales makes her debut as the female lead with Azhagu Magan.
