The network of tunnels and bridges in Makkah and other holy places is very important in terms of traffic movement.
There are more or less 58 tunnels in Makkah and other holy places. These include control stations, ventilation fans, station pumps for fire extinguishing, backup generators, besides humidity, gas and monitoring sensors.
Al-Sharif further said that 59 bridges have been prepared in Makkah and holy places. Among them, 20 bridges are located in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah. Their length is 6.6 kilometers.
The monitoring, maintenance and repair of this network of tunnels and bridges is the responsibility of a special technical institution. This organization consists of engineers, supervisors and expert technical staff.
Its aim is to provide the best services to the Hajj Baitullah and to ensure a pleasant environment for the guests of Allah at all times.
