A zoo in northeastern Pakistan plans to put some of its lions up for auction on August 11, 2022, in a move meant to free up space and cut costs. Officials at the Lahore Safari Zoo said buyers can bid for 12 of its 29 lions starting at a base price of 150,000 rupees (US$670).
