Taiwan's military held a live-fire artillery drill Tuesday simulating a defence of the island against an attack after days of massive Chinese war games.

Lou Woei-jye, spokesman for Taiwan's Eighth Army Corps, confirmed the drills started in the southern county of Pingtung with the firing of target flares and artillery.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar will take oath as Bihar Chief Minister on Wednesday (August 10), while Tejashwi Yadav will be sworn-in as his deputy. Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and Tejashwi Yadav's RJD are likely to get 14 ministerial berths each.

The Congress, which is also a part of the grand alliance, is likely to get three ministerial berths.
