Aged care workers promised 'meaningful' wage rise by federal government

The federal government will make a submission to the Fair Work Commission today calling for aged care workers to get better pay. The union movement is demanding a 25 per cent increase, although Labor isn't putting a particular figure in its pitch to the employment umpire.
