Amid the tensions surrounding Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan, United States of America’s National Security Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby on August 2 said that the nation will do nothing that will serve to heighten the stress. “We'll not engage in sabre-rattling. We will not do anything that will increase the tension. We would like to see the lines of communication with Beijing stay open,” he said.
