Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez has been elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 19th Congress.

Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos 3rd nominated Romualdez who served as the majority leader during the 18th Congress.
